What is the difference between saturated and unsaturated resins?

The structural difference is that the unsaturated resin contains unsaturated double bonds, and the carbon-carbon bond is a saturated single bond.

Saturated resin has excellent adhesive properties and good balance of hardness and toughness.

Unsaturated resin 1) poor heat resistance The heat distortion temperature is 50 ~ 60 °C, some good heat resistance resin up to 120 °C.

  (2) The mechanical properties are good, and the unsaturated polyester resin has high tensile, bending and compression strengths.

(3) poor chemical resistance, unsaturated polyester resin resistance to water, dilute acid, dilute alkali, organic resistance

The poor performance of the solvent.

   (4) Dielectric properties. The unsaturated polyacid resin has good dielectric properties.
